This site loads Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager is a container: it does not measure anything by itself, but it loads whatever measurement tags are configured inside it — in practice Google Analytics — and those set cookies and send data to Google.

What Google sets

The exact list depends on which tags are switched on in the container, and it can change without this page changing, which is the honest drawback of using a tag manager. With Google Analytics running — the usual configuration — you can expect:

Google Analytics. Distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits are not counted as new people. Typically lasts two years.

_ga_<container id>

Google Analytics. Keeps the state of your current visit. Typically lasts two years.

What Google receives

Your IP address, the pages you look at, roughly where you are, your device and browser, and how you arrived — a search, a link, or an ad.

Google is a US company and processes this data globally. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we have not turned on advertising features or data sharing for other Google products — but the data does go to Google, and that is the trade being made.

How to refuse it

• Block third-party cookies in your browser settings. Firefox and Safari do a good deal of this by default.
• Install Google's own opt-out add-on, which stops Analytics collecting from your browser on every site.
• Use a content blocker. Most block Tag Manager outright, and nothing on this site breaks if you do — no page needs it to work.
• Email us and ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. The privacy policy explains how.

What the site stores for itself

Separately from Google: four small values, in your browser's own session and local storage. These are not cookies, they are never sent to us or to anyone else, and they exist to stop the site being irritating rather than to measure you.

Session storage. Remembers that you have already seen the opening animation, so it does not replay on every page. Gone when you close the tab.

blnkd-pt

Session storage. Carries the label of the page you are moving to across a page transition. Deleted the moment the next page reads it.

blnkd-lead

Session storage. Written for a few seconds when you send an enquiry, so the thank-you page knows the form really was submitted rather than the address being opened directly. Read once, then deleted.

blnkd-sound

Local storage. Remembers that you turned sound off, so it stays off next time. The only value that survives closing the tab, and clearing your site data removes it.

What this site still does not do

• No advertising pixels — no Meta, no LinkedIn, no TikTok tags.
• No heatmaps or session recording. Nobody is watching a replay of your mouse.
• No third-party fonts, embeds or chat widgets loading from someone else's server.
• We do not sell or share personal information, and there is no data broker in this chain.

If this page and the site disagree

A tag manager means the tags can change without the code changing, so a policy like this can drift out of date without anyone noticing. If you want to know exactly what is loading right now, open your browser's developer tools, look at the Network tab and reload — everything this site requests is visible there. If you find something this page does not mention, tell us and we will correct it.
