01 / 14 01 — The challenge

What wasn't working

Hazardous material removal is bought under pressure. Someone has found asbestos mid-renovation or a tenant has reported mold, and they need a licensed crew today. They are frightened, they are on a phone, and they are comparing three search results. A site that explains the company before it lets them ask for help loses them to the next tab.

02 / 14 02 — The objective

What success had to look like

Make it obvious within seconds that this company is licensed, capable and reachable — and make asking for a quote the easiest thing on the page, from any device, at any point in the site.

03 / 14 03 — The approach

How we decided to solve it

Design for the worst moment, not the best
The whole site assumes an anxious person on a phone who has never bought this service. Clarity beats persuasion in that state.
Serve two very different buyers
Homeowners need reassurance and plain language; contractors and property managers want scope, licensing and availability. The structure lets each skip what the other needs.
One page per service, so search matches intent
Someone searching 'lead paint removal' shouldn't land on a generic services page — the page they reach should be about exactly the thing they typed.
Proof before adjectives
For hazardous work the argument is credentials and completed jobs. Those go high on the page; the copy supports them rather than replacing them.

Making the decision obvious in one screen

The hero names the work, the reassurance and the action together, so a visitor knows they're in the right place and what to do about it before any scrolling.

Removing friction from the request

The quote request is reachable from anywhere in under two taps, with short fields chosen for someone typing one-handed on a job site.

Letting the work carry the credibility

Completed projects, reviews and credentials are given real estate, because in this category evidence does the selling.

07 / 14 05 — Key decision 01

One primary action across the whole site

Everything resolves to 'request a quote'. Competing calls to action split an anxious visitor's attention at exactly the moment they're ready to act.

08 / 14 05 — Key decision 02

A page per service

Five specific pages match five specific searches. It's the difference between being found for what someone needs and being found for what we call it.

09 / 14 05 — Key decision 03

Built for a phone on site

Large tap targets, short forms and no hover-dependent navigation — because the person who most urgently needs this company is standing in the problem, not sitting at a desk.

10 / 14 05 — Key decision 04

Editable by the team

Services, projects and posts are managed in-house, so the site keeps pace with the work without a developer in the loop.

11 / 14 06 — The outcome

What changed

The business now has a site where the licensed capability is visible immediately, each service can be found on its own terms, and requesting a quote takes seconds from any page or device.
